Part of I-64 in Virginia shut down due to vehicle crash

VIRGINIA — All westbound lanes of Interstate 64 near the exit for World War II Veterans Memorial Highway were closed Tuesday morning following a crash involving two tractor-trailers.

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) reported the closure around 9 a.m. on July 29.

The Henrico County Police Division confirmed in a Facebook post that two tractor-trailers were involved in the crash.

VDOT reported approximately two miles of traffic backups in the area.

Drivers are urged to follow posted detour routes to avoid further delays.
