
OHIO — A crash early Monday morning, April 13, forced the closure of a portion of Interstate 270 on the west side of Columbus, causing significant traffic disruptions for several hours.
According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, all southbound lanes of I-270 were closed as of 6 a.m. between the Interstate 70 interchange and Harrisburg Pike. Ramps connecting I-70 to I-270 south were also shut down.
One person has died and one has been arrested following the crash. As of early morning, there was no estimate for when the roadway would reopen.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes and expect delays in the area.
The situation remains under investigation.
