TEXAS — A crash shut down the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 in Beaumont Monday afternoon, causing traffic delays in the area.
According to Beaumont Police, the crash happened around 4:35 p.m. near 11th Street on I-10.
Police said the collision forced officials to close all eastbound lanes while crews responded and worked to clear the roadway. An emergency wrecker was called to remove the vehicles involved.
Authorities have not yet said how many vehicles were involved or whether any injuries were reported.
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and expect delays while crews work to reopen the interstate.
