Over 20 people injured following school bus crash in Pennsylvania

PENNSYLVANIA — More than 20 people were hospitalized Saturday morning after a school bus carrying Aliquippa Jr. High football players, parents, and staff crashed in Beaver County.

According to Beaver County EMS, first responders were called to the 190 block of Shaffer Road in Economy Borough just before 10 a.m.

The bus was transporting students and parents from the Aliquippa School District at the time of the crash.

Authorities said 21 of the 28 people on board were taken to the hospital. Those on the bus included players, coaches, parents, and the driver.

The extent of the injuries was not immediately released. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
