VIRGINIA — More than $2.3 million worth of illegal narcotics were seized across Virginia in just one week, according to the latest crime report from Virginia State Police.

In a report released Friday, Feb. 13, state police detailed ongoing crime suppression operations conducted between Feb. 5 and Feb. 11. During that time, troopers seized nearly 78 pounds of illegal drugs statewide.

The seizures included almost 52 pounds of cocaine, 21.6 pounds of marijuana and 4.3 pounds of methamphetamine.

Authorities estimate the drugs would have generated approximately $2,376,192 if sold.

In addition to the narcotics, troopers recovered $57,964 in U.S. currency and six firearms, which police said have an estimated value of $3,500.

The enforcement efforts were carried out in partnership with federal and local law enforcement agencies.

In a statement, Virginia State Police said the agency remains committed to enhancing public safety and supporting statewide initiatives targeting violent crime. Officials said coordinated efforts among local, state and federal partners continue to disrupt criminal enterprises and protect communities.

The weekly crime suppression operations are ongoing.
