OHIO — Police are investigating multiple break-ins at Insight Health facilities last weekend, which resulted in stolen drugs and tools.
Authorities said Insight Health on E. Market Street and Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital on Squires Lane were targeted between Friday, August 15, and Monday, August 18.
At the E. Market Street facility, a staff member reported on Monday that a safe had been broken into and over 1,200 OxyContin pills were missing.
On Wednesday, another report noted a shattered window and evidence that a brick had been thrown through it. Officers also found footprints in the hallways and signs that fire extinguishers had been discharged inside the building.
At Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital, the security manager reported on Monday that someone forced open side doors that had been barricaded with wood and stole multiple hand tools valued at about $400. Staff later discovered another door had been left open, though nothing additional appeared to be missing.
