
OHIO — A 30-year-old Attica resident was killed early Tuesday morning following a single-vehicle crash in Seneca County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16, on U.S. Route 224 near milepost 30 in Venice Township. Troopers said the SUV was traveling along the highway when it went left of center, left the roadway, and overturned.
The driver, identified as Morgan Patton, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators said Patton was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle during the rollover.
Both eastbound and westbound lanes of U.S. 224 were closed for approximately two hours while emergency crews and investigators worked at the scene.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined. The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
