One woman arrested for third time on marijuana dealing charges in Indiana

INDIANA — A southern Indiana woman has been arrested for the third time in recent months on marijuana-related charges, according to police.

The Clarksville Police Department said Jeanie Richardson was taken into custody March 12 and is facing multiple felony charges, including dealing and possession of marijuana.

Authorities said Richardson had previously been arrested in October on similar charges and again in December after officers found approximately 30 pounds of raw marijuana and additional THC products inside her vehicle.

Police said an ongoing investigation by a drug interdiction officer led to a search warrant being executed on Richardson’s car and home earlier this month. During the search, officers reported seizing about 12 pounds of raw marijuana along with additional THC products.

“We are aware there are members of the public who believe marijuana is a non-issue due to its legal status in other states,” the department said in a statement. “We believe that someone who is possessing and trafficking drugs, regardless of the type, should be held accountable – especially when that individual lives near multiple schools in our area.”

Officials said the investigation remains ongoing.
