One student injured following school bus crash in Virginia

VIRGINIA — A student was injured Monday morning in a school bus crash on the grounds of Quinton Elementary School, according to the New Kent County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened on the morning of Sept. 15 and involved only the single bus. One student sustained a minor injury, the sheriff’s office said in a social media post.

All parents and guardians of students on the bus were notified.

Deputies said the incident remains under investigation but stressed that “the accident is not the result of any ongoing threat or danger to the school, students, or staff.”
