One person seriously injured following two-vehicle crash in Ohio

OHIO — A two-vehicle crash Monday evening in Logan County left one woman seriously injured and led to a traffic citation, according to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.

The collision occurred around 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of Township Road 216 and Township Road 200.

Deputies reported that Gordon West, 72, of Belle Center, was driving a 2024 Toyota RAV4 when he entered the path of a 2009 Buick Lucerne traveling on County Road 18.

The Buick was driven by 71-year-old Susan King of DeGraff.

King sustained suspected serious injuries and was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Bellefontaine EMS. West was not injured in the crash.

Authorities cited West at the scene for failing to yield at a stop sign. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene.
