One person sent to hospital following shooting at Ohio gas station

OHIO — A man was taken to the hospital Friday following a shooting at a local gas station.

Springfield police and medics responded to reports of a shooting at the Speedway on South Limestone Street around 4 p.m., according to a police sergeant.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a man with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities have not released the victim’s condition and are continuing their search for the suspect. 

The investigation is ongoing, and no further details were immediately available.
