OHIO — The Toledo Police Department is searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run that left a woman hospitalized early Sunday morning.
In a press release issued Sunday, police said 23-year-old Abbriana Hatckett was injured after being struck by a vehicle following an altercation that began inside a bar on West Sylvania Avenue. Authorities said the dispute later moved to the intersection of Hearthstone Place, where Hatckett was attempting to de-escalate the situation.
After the altercation had ended, Hatckett began walking away when she was hit by a gray or silver SUV traveling northbound on Sylvania Avenue. The driver did not stop and fled the scene.
Hatckett was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police said her injuries are not considered life-threatening at this time.
