OHIO — Firefighters responded to a crash in the eastbound lanes of the Ohio Turnpike near mile marker 146 on Monday morning.
According to officials, the incident occurred around 8:40 a.m., leaving the driver trapped inside the vehicle.
Emergency crews worked to free the driver, who was later transported to University Hospitals Elyria for treatment.
The condition of the victim has not been disclosed.
Authorities urged drivers to avoid the area while emergency responders cleared the scene.
Traffic delays were reported, and motorists were advised to seek alternate routes.
