One person sent to hospital after getting stuck in train car in Ohio

OHIO — A person was hospitalized Sunday morning after becoming stuck inside a train car and suffering from cold exposure in Montgomery County.

The incident occurred in the 2000 block of East National Road, near the train tracks in the Metroparks.

Vandalia Fire Department medics responded to a cold exposure call around early morning hours.

According to a Facebook post by the fire department, the individual had been traveling from Kentucky when they became trapped in the train car.

Fire crews were required to extricate the person from the car before they were transported to a local hospital.

At this time, there are no details available regarding the person’s condition.
