SOUTH CAROLINA — A woman is in stable condition after being attacked in her home early Sunday morning, authorities said.
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office reported deputies were called to a Drake Street residence following a stabbing. At the scene, the victim told officers that 24-year-old Kobie Clary attacked her with a knife after waking her.
Deputies said Clary had previously lived in a building on the victim’s property but had been trespassed months earlier and had no contact with her since. Authorities added that Clary stole a vehicle to reach the home. He was quickly located and arrested without incident.
Clary is being held at the Anderson County Detention Center on charges of burglary, grand larceny, and attempted murder. He has not yet appeared before a judge for a bond hearing.
The investigation is ongoing.
