ALABAMA — A woman was arrested after police say she injured a man with a knife during a domestic dispute over the weekend.
According to the Huntsville Police Department, officers responded around 5:30 p.m. Saturday to the 1900 block of Sparkman Drive for a report of a possible cutting. They found a man with injuries consistent with being struck with a knife. His injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
Investigators said the victim was in a relationship with the suspect and the altercation occurred inside a residence, where the man was struck with a knife.
Police identified the suspect as 46-year-old Shelonda Marie Walton of Huntsville. She was arrested and charged with second-degree domestic violence with a knife.
Walton is being held in the Madison County Jail on a $13,000 bond.
