
FLORIDA — The Stuart Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning, authorities said.
Police reported that officers responded to the incident around 5 a.m. in the 900 block of Southeast Tarpon Avenue. Officials said the shooting is believed to be an isolated incident.
According to the police department, the suspect is in custody, and the victim is expected to survive.
As the investigation continues, Southeast Tarpon Avenue remains closed between Lake Street and Church Street. Police are asking drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
