
FLORIDA — A man was arrested early Saturday after another man was shot during an altercation in Port Orange, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the shooting occurred just after midnight on Old Samsula Road. The victim, an adult male, was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg.
Authorities arrested 38-year-old Jeffrey Crabtree in connection with the incident. He is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Crabtree was booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail, where he is being held without bond.
