SOUTH CAROLINA — Florence police have multiple suspects in custody after a minor was shot Monday evening.
Officers were initially responding to a reported shooting on Coit Street when they heard additional gunfire on North Dargan Street, according to police. A call then came in reporting a shooting involving a juvenile in the 700 block of North Dargan Street.
When officers arrived, they found the victim, who was taken for medical treatment and is listed in stable condition.
Police said they saw a vehicle leaving the scene and began pursuing it. The vehicle was later located in Darlington, where multiple people were taken into custody.
Authorities said it is not yet known whether the shooting on North Dargan Street is connected to the earlier incident on Coit Street. The investigation is ongoing.
