OHIO — The Bowling Green Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single motorcycle crash that occurred Thursday evening in Middletown Township.
The crash happened around 7:14 p.m. on Interstate 75 northbound near milepost 185.
According to investigators, a 2001 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling north when it pulled over to the right shoulder.
As the motorcycle came to a stop, it was dropped on the shoulder of the roadway.
The motorcycle was operated by 45-year-old Thomas Crisenbery of Lima.
His passenger, 44-year-old Shavawn Joyce, also of Lima, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by Middletown Township EMS to St. Vincent Medical Center. Crisenbery was treated on scene for minor injuries.
Authorities noted that neither rider was wearing a DOT-compliant helmet at the time of the crash.
The Middletown Township Fire Department and EMS assisted at the scene. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is reminding all motorcyclists to follow traffic laws and wear helmets at all times.
