OHIO — One person was taken to the hospital following a crash involving a fire truck and an SUV in Batavia on Thursday afternoon, according to authorities.
The crash occurred around 4 p.m. near the intersection of Wood Street and North Fifth Street.
A trooper with the Ohio State Highway Patrol said one person inside the SUV suffered minor injuries and was transported for treatment.
According to investigators, the fire truck was preparing to activate its emergency lights to respond to a call when the SUV pulled in front of the truck, resulting in the collision.
Batavia EMS and other emergency responders were dispatched to the scene.
Officials said the fire truck appeared to have minimal damage.
The crash remains under investigation.
