
INDIANA — A person was seriously hurt Sunday evening in a crash in northern Hamilton County, according to the White River Township Fire Department. The collision occurred just after 6 p.m. in the 14000 block of East 266th Street, east of Arcadia.
Emergency crews arrived to find a vehicle that had struck a tree and sustained heavy damage on the driver’s side. Firefighters discovered one person trapped inside and were able to safely extricate them from the wreckage.
The injured individual was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. A dog was also removed from the vehicle and suffered only minor injuries, officials said.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and Indiana State Police assisted at the scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
