INDIANA — One person was seriously injured Tuesday evening in a two-vehicle crash along U.S. Highway 224 in Decatur, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened around 5 p.m. on September 30 in front of State Line Auto Parts. Investigators said a 1997 Jeep traveling eastbound attempted to turn left into the business but failed to yield to oncoming traffic. The Jeep collided with a Dodge Ram, causing the Jeep to overturn.
A passenger in the Jeep was airlifted from the scene with serious injuries. The Jeep’s driver was also taken to the hospital by EMS for medical evaluation.
The driver of the Dodge Ram was transported to a nearby hospital but was released after being cleared of injuries.
Blood samples were collected from both drivers, though results have not been disclosed.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
