FLORIDA — One person was injured and several vehicles were damaged in a crash on Christmas Day in Escambia County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at about 1 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 29 and State Road 97. Troopers said a 65-year-old woman from Atmore was driving south on U.S. 29 when she failed to stop for a red light and struck a vehicle driven by a 30-year-old woman from Molino, who was traveling west on State Road 97.
The impact caused the Molino woman’s vehicle to be pushed into a second car driven by a 65-year-old Molino woman, who was stopped in the right turn lane on State Road 97, authorities said.
Troopers reported that the Atmore woman suffered minor injuries. No injuries were reported by the other drivers involved in the crash.
