VIRGINIA — One person was taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning at the intersection of Moneta Road and Whitehouse Road, according to the Bedford Fire Department.
Emergency crews said the Moneta Volunteer Fire Department was first to respond to the scene on July 2.
One driver was trapped inside a vehicle and had to be freed by first responders, who removed the roof and doors to safely extricate the individual. That person was then transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The second vehicle involved had rolled over, but all occupants were able to escape without injury, fire officials said.
The Virginia State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
