SOUTH CAROLINA — Authorities are investigating a suspected stabbing that left one person seriously injured Monday afternoon in Anderson County, South Carolina.
According to officials, the incident occurred around 2:45 p.m. on Park Drive in the town of Iva.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and determined that the victim had sustained injuries consistent with a stabbing. Due to the severity of the injuries, the victim was airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The Iva Police Department is leading the investigation with assistance from the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office. Law enforcement officials have not released information about a suspect, the victim’s condition, or the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing, and no additional details were immediately available.
