INDIANA — A man was hospitalized Monday afternoon after a stabbing that followed a physical altercation in Elkhart, according to police.
Officers said the incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of West Bristol Street and Edwardsburg Avenue. Police reported that two men became involved in a physical altercation outside their vehicles, during which one of the men was stabbed.
The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment and was last reported to be in stable condition.
Police said the stabbing remains under investigation. Authorities have not determined whether the incident is connected to a shooting that occurred about 30 minutes later near North Sixth Street and West Jefferson Street.
