GEORGIA — Police are investigating after a man was found shot multiple times outside a Kroger store in Brookhaven early Monday morning.
According to Brookhaven police, officers responded around 2 a.m. to the grocery store located at 3871 Peachtree Road NE. When they arrived, they found a man lying outside the entrance suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The entrance to the store was taped off as officers began their investigation.
Authorities said the shooting occurred in an area covered by several security cameras, including cameras at the entrance and in the parking lot.
An employee told investigators he heard gunshots while on a break, and nearby residents also reported hearing gunfire and called 911.
Police noted this is the second shooting at the location within the past three weeks. In a previous incident on March 22, a 79-year-old man shot a 75-year-old man at the same shopping center.
