
VIRGINIA — A man was hospitalized after a shooting early Sunday morning in Lynchburg, Virginia.
According to the Lynchburg Police Department, officers and the Lynchburg Fire Department responded around 12:30 a.m. on March 8 to the 1500 block of Longview Road for a report of a malicious wounding.
When emergency crews arrived, they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported by the Lynchburg Fire Department to Lynchburg General Hospital, where he is listed in serious but stable condition.
Police said the shooting appears to be an isolated incident, and investigators do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the community.
