TENNESSEE — Metro Police are searching for a suspect after a teenager was shot early Wednesday morning in East Nashville.
The shooting occurred around 4:30 a.m. on South 5th Street.
According to police, a white sedan pulled into a lot, and a passenger exited the vehicle before firing several shots toward the victim.
The victim, believed to be 17 years old, was standing in a doorway when they were struck in the head.
Authorities said the teen was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.
Police are actively searching for the white sedan involved. No further details about the suspect have been released at this time.
