TENNESSEE — A teenager was hospitalized early Monday morning following a shooting at the Hamilton Creek Recreation Area in South Nashville.
Metro police responded around 4 a.m. to an apartment complex in the 5100 block of Rice Road in Antioch, where they found an injured juvenile. The teen was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and is expected to survive.
According to investigators, the teen was shot at the recreation area and then driven to the Antioch apartment complex. Officers searched both locations for evidence Monday morning.
Two people were detained in connection with the incident, though their identities have not yet been released. The investigation is ongoing.
