TENNESSEE — A woman was injured in a shooting early Friday morning at a home in West Nashville, according to Metro police.
The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. in the 700 block of 40th Avenue North.
Police say the woman was shot in the leg and fled to a nearby apartment complex to seek help.
She was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive her injuries.
The shooting remains under investigation. No further details have been released at this time.
