
SOUTH CAROLINA — The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left a 42-year-old man injured Wednesday night on St. Helena Island.
According to a media release from the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a report of a gunshot victim in the area of Lands End Road shortly after 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025. When deputies arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Beaufort County Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to receive medical treatment. His current condition was not released.
Investigators said the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the lead investigator, Sgt. Lidey, at 843-255-3294.
