PENNSYLVANIA — A man is in critical condition following an overnight shooting in the Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar neighborhood, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.
Police were dispatched to Churchland Street, between Wardons Street and Eastchester Street, around 1:30 a.m. Saturday after receiving reports of gunfire.
When officers arrived, they found a man in the driver’s seat of a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head.
The victim was transported by medics to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Authorities say the area was processed for evidence, and investigators are reviewing video footage. The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police’s Violent Crime Unit is leading the investigation.
