
PENNSYLVANIA — Lancaster police are investigating a shooting that occurred near Culliton Park on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Lancaster City Bureau of Police, officers were dispatched to the park, located at 260 W. Strawberry Street, after reports of gunfire.
When they arrived, officers found a person suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a medical facility for treatment. Police did not release the victim’s condition.
Around 4 p.m., more than a dozen officers were seen in the area of Fremont and Poplar streets, where crime scene tape was set up. Investigators believe the shooting took place near Strawberry and Fremont streets, not inside the park itself.
The investigation remains ongoing.
