OHIO — Police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured late Thursday night in central Toledo.
According to the Toledo Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Bates Road just before 11 p.m. after receiving an alert from the ShotSpotter system indicating possible gunfire in the area.
While officers were still on scene, a 38-year-old man arrived at a nearby hospital by private vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. Detectives later determined that the man’s injuries were caused by the gunfire detected on Bates Road.
Police said the victim was shot in the right leg. His injuries were described as non-life threatening, and no additional details about his condition were released.
Investigators have not identified any suspects, and no arrests have been announced. The incident remains under investigation.
