OHIO — A person was seriously injured in a shooting in west Columbus on Sunday morning, according to city public safety officials.
Columbus police officers responded to the 70 block of Stevens Avenue in the Franklinton neighborhood around 7:30 a.m. after receiving a report of a shooting.
One individual was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition, a dispatcher said.
Authorities confirmed that one person has been detained in connection with the incident. Police have not released details about what led up to the shooting, and the investigation is ongoing.
