OHIO — A 34-year-old man was hospitalized after being shot early Sunday morning on Cleveland’s East Side, according to police.
The shooting happened around 5:10 a.m. near the corner of East 89th Street and Superior Avenue. Cleveland EMS transported the victim to a nearby hospital. His condition has not been released.
Investigators say the incident began as an altercation between the victim and a 38-year-old man known to him. During the confrontation, the suspect reportedly pulled out a gun and began shooting.
The case remains under investigation by detectives from the Cleveland Police Department’s Third District.
