One person injured following shooting incident in Ohio

OHIO — One person was seriously injured in a shooting Thursday evening in Dayton.

According to the Dayton Police Department, officers responded to the 500 block of East Fourth Street around 7:10 p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire.

Upon arrival, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Authorities have not released the man’s identity.

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
