OHIO — A man is in serious condition following a shooting early Thursday morning near The Banks, according to Cincinnati police.
The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. on Mehring Way near Central Avenue.
Officers arrived to find a 41-year-old Black man with a gunshot wound to the back. He was transported to UC Medical Center, where he remains in serious condition.
Police said they currently have no information on a suspect. While witnesses are being interviewed, investigators say none appear to be involved in the shooting.
Mehring Way is expected to remain closed for several hours as the investigation continues.
