KENTUCKY — A woman was hospitalized after being shot early Thursday morning on Interstate 65 South near Grade Lane.
Louisville Metro Police said officers responded around 3:47 a.m. to a report of a vehicle collision. Upon arrival, they found a woman with gunshot injuries. She was taken to University Hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
The shooting temporarily shut down all lanes of I-65 South from Grade Lane to Crittenden Drive. Lanes reopened around 6:15 a.m.
LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating. Police said detectives have not yet determined the circumstances leading to the shooting, as the woman was in surgery at the time of the report.
