KENTUCKY — Authorities are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday morning at Blue Grass Airport, leaving one person seriously injured.
According to the Lexington Fire Department, emergency crews were dispatched to 4000 Terminal Drive around 11:40 a.m. following reports of a shooting.
One individual was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Lexington Police and Kentucky State Police are leading the investigation.
Officials said a portion of Terminal Drive was impacted by the law enforcement response, but Blue Grass Airport has since resumed normal operations.
Passengers are being directed to open parking areas as the investigation continues.
