
INDIANA — One person was critically injured in a shooting Saturday afternoon on the west side of Indianapolis, according to police.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called around 3 p.m. to the 800 block of South Lynhurst Drive, just north of West Washington Street, on a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they located an individual suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported for medical treatment and was reported to be in critical condition.
Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting, and no information about a suspect has been provided.
The investigation remains ongoing. Police have not indicated whether anyone has been taken into custody.
