ILLINOIS — Police are investigating after a man was shot Sunday afternoon in Decatur.
According to the Decatur Police Department, the shooting occurred around 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of East Lawrence Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Officers confirmed that an adult male was shot in the area.
As of about 3:30 p.m., police had not released information about the victim’s condition. No additional details were immediately available.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and that more information will be released as it becomes available.
