ILLINOIS — A 15-year-old is in serious condition following a shooting that occurred in Danville on Wednesday night, according to local police.

Danville Police reported that officers responded to OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center around 11 p.m. after a gunshot victim arrived at the hospital in a personal vehicle.

After speaking with the victim and conducting a preliminary investigation, police determined the shooting took place near the intersection of Main and Plum Streets.

Details about the incident remain limited, but police credited community cooperation for the progress made so far in the investigation.
