
FLORIDA — A woman was injured in a shooting in St. Petersburg early Monday morning, police said.
The St. Petersburg Police Department reported that the woman was shot in the leg around 1:20 a.m.
She flagged down a passing vehicle on Dr. Martin Luther King Street South near 23rd Avenue South for help.
Officers said she was taken to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives are investigating the incident and working to determine where the shooting occurred.
