FLORIDA — A man was injured in a shooting Wednesday evening following a fight outside a home in Jacksonville’s Springfield neighborhood, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said the incident began when the victim got into a fight with another individual in front of a residence on North Market Street. A short time later, the man was sitting inside his vehicle when a black vehicle approached the area.
Police said a suspect exited the vehicle and began shooting at the victim. One of the bullets grazed the man on the top of his head.
The suspect then returned to the vehicle and fled the scene in an unknown direction. Authorities have not released a description of the suspect.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. His condition has not been disclosed.
