TEXAS — A Tyler driver was hospitalized Friday evening following a road rage shooting at a busy intersection in the city.
According to the Tyler Police Department, the incident occurred at the intersection of Grande Boulevard and Paluxy Drive. Police said one driver exited their vehicle during the confrontation and shot another driver.
The suspected shooter remained at the scene and was detained by responding officers. Authorities have not released the identities of those involved or provided details about potential charges.
The injured driver was transported by emergency medical services to a local hospital. Information about the person’s condition has not been made available.
Grande Boulevard was closed in both directions east and west of Paluxy Drive as officers investigated the scene. Police have not said what led to the road rage incident.
