TENNESSEE — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash Sunday evening in Clarksville that forced the closure of a busy roadway while police investigated.
According to the Clarksville Police Department, the crash occurred around 6:16 p.m. at the intersection of Fort Campbell Boulevard and Faith Drive when a motorcycle collided with a vehicle.
The motorcyclist was airlifted to a hospital in Nashville for treatment. Authorities have not released details about the rider’s condition.
The crash prompted officials to shut down Fort Campbell Boulevard in both directions as the department’s Fatal Accident Crash Team investigated the scene.
Motorists were asked to use alternate routes while the investigation continued. Police have not released additional information about the cause of the crash.
