ALABAMA — A man is in critical condition following an incident early Thursday morning near Triana Boulevard, according to Huntsville Police.
Officers responded to the area of Triana Boulevard and 9th Avenue after receiving a report of a person possibly injured in the roadway.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from serious injuries in the road. He was transported to a hospital, where police said he remains in critical condition.
According to investigators, the incident began after an argument involving the injured man and another individual.
“The preliminary investigation indicates the injured man and a possible person of interest were involved in an argument before the incident,” Huntsville Police said. “Investigators learned the person of interest was inside a vehicle and drove away. During the incident, the injured man grabbed onto the vehicle and later fell, suffering serious injuries.”
Police said they have identified the person of interest, who is cooperating with investigators.
The case remains under investigation.
